This is an open call, two-stage international design competition workshop for architects, artists, engineers, innovators, scientists and related disciplines to imagine the future mobile event pavilion.



Dear Colleagues,  
 
reSITE in cooperation with the Architectural Institute in Prague /ARCHIP/ is honored to announce the second annual international design competition workshop in the City of Prague. Led by Cecil Balmond / formerly of Arup Engineers and currently leading Balmond Studio in London / and Tyson Hosmer / Lead Designer, Balmond Studio /, dPAV: 2.5 Days in Prague competition workshop will be a 2.5 days intensive and collaborative investigation to compete to design the future reSITE pavilion to be used in urban design festivals around Central and Eastern Europe.
 
The workshop will take place at the Architectural Institute in Prague during the second annual reSITE festival from 21-23 June 2013. Please find detailed information about the workshop on the official website:

A beach for everyone: physically handicapped individuals took part in the “Praia para Todos” (Beach for Everyone) project on Copacabana beach in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil last week.

The project, run by volunteer physical therapists and students, offers a weekend at two of Rio’s beaches to the physically handicapped, many of whom don’t have the means to reach the beach, let alone swim in the sea.
